Which of the following two graphics cards is better for gaming?

nVidia GeForce GT430 or ATI Radeon 4830 HD

If the GT430 isn't good enough how about the GT440?

I could also buy a ATI Radeon 5670 HD.|||go for ati 5670 hd and go for 1gb ones......also depends on ur budget.. more the price better it will be . so for local or chinese made companies instead of going for nvdia or ati original|||dude go for GT440 . I bought a ati 4830 HD. but i felt it useless so I got GT440, also it is obviously better than ATI 5670 HD|||At 1080p all of those cards are very weak. Try to go for a gtx 460, it's a great gaming card.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

How many FPS will I get in minecraft with this setup?

CPU: intel core 2 quad q6600

GPU: zotac geforce gt430 (its a mid range card apparently)

RAM: 8gb kingston ddr3

settings: fancy

render distance: far

I'm not asking for exact but if you can give me an estimate that would be great,

thanks!|||When it comes to games and frames per second it only counts that you get more then 60 fps at all times to prevent lag and yes with that setup you will have no problem in minecraft keeping it over 60.

Is gt430 compatable with asus p5n73-am?

my friend has a old pc as he wants to change the graphic card

but the engineer says the ram does not stacks with the graphic card is it so????|||Depends upon the type of expansion slot in friends motherboard

For e.g. if that motherboard has PCIe 2.0 slots then he will be able to install it.

The RAM of the Motherboard and the Ram of Graphics Card(aka VRAM) are two different things and

are independent of the Motherboard|||yes that motherboard is capable of taking a gt430 card. what the engineer is saying is that your motherboard cannot use hybrid sli (which is a waste of time anyway trust me ive tried it) but if he is going from his onboard graphics to this card than he will see a noticable performance increase

dj godfather your slightly wrong there any pcie slot can and will take a pcie 2.0 card but the bandwidth will be less

For how much could I sell my XPS 8100 desktop computer?

I bought it in early 2010 and the specs are as follows:

Intel® Core™ i5-650 processo r(4MB Cache, 3.20GHz)

Memory 6GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz - 4 DIMMs

Graphics Card GeForce GT430

A sizeable, albeit older, monitor, proper speakers, keyboard and mouse would be included.|||I'll give you a quarter.

Will a Gainward GeForce GT430 1GB run world of warcraft on full settings?

Hiya! looking for a cheap video card that will run Warcraft Cata on full graphics settings.

I found this one "Gainward GeForce GT430 1GB" & its in my price range.

will this do the Job?

I dont really know so much about graphics cards & just wondering if this will let me max out the graphics settings.

I currently have an "ATI Radeon HD 2400" & it gets a bit jumpy sometimes Even on low graphics settings.

Please dont give me a big long list of alternatives that cost stupid amounts. this is mainly for just playing wow with maxed out graphics settings.

A little more about my pc just to save people asking.

Intel Quad core Q6600 CPU 2.40

4 GB Ram

ATI Radeon HD 2400

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Thanks for any help.|||The GT430 is much better than your existing Radeon HD 2400, but it's still a bit weak compared to competing cards around the same price. It could play WoW on high settings, probably not maxed unless you have a low resolution monitor- 1440x900 or less.

The Radeon HD 5570 beats the GT430. The GeForce GT240 is even faster. Both are under £60 (I assume you're in the UK, since Gainward isn't a common brand is the USA)

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/179471

The only drawback to the GT240 is no DX11 support. That doesn't matter for WoW, though.

If the links above are well under your budget, the GT440 supports DX11 and outperforms the GT240. So there's my short list of alternatives that hopefully cost about the same.

Installing a GT430 Graphics card into A6619F Hp pavillion I need help please.?

I am in the process to upgrade to a GT430 graphics card in order to play Warcraft, I got a 430 watt powersupply to work with the card, but cant seen to get the computer to work when i put the card in, so were is the existing graphics card in the computer? I know the powersupply is working as im typing this quesiton while its installed, just really need to know how to install the GT430 Graphics card into my A6619f Hp pavvilion.

Notes: I am not an tech person, and cant afford to go to the geek squard at best buy, i'd like any help to solve them problem.|||There isn't one. Your using the onboard graphics probably at the moment which is why your not seeing a card. It's likely the PSU isn't powerful enough to handle the card and your other components as the card alone will take 242 watt to run at peak.

Are you getting beeps or anything on the monitor when you plug the card in and plug the monitor cable into the card? If your getting nothing from the computer then likely the PSU is not strong enough or you haven't plugged the card in correctly|||The existing graphics device in the HP Pavilion a6619f is the Intel GMA 3100. The GMA 3100 isn't an actual "card", it's an integrated graphics device that's part of the motherboard. It can't be removed, but it can be disabled, although according to that systems specs the integrated graphics isn't available when a graphics "card" is installed.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Tec…

Make sure that your monitor is connected to the output port on the card and not the I/O panel on the rear of your system.

If you're still not getting anything from the card, you may need to disable the integrated graphics. To do this, you'll need to power down, remove the card and connect your monitor to the video port on your systems I/O panel (the way it was before). Power up, open Control Panel, go into Device Manager, click on the + next to Display Adapters, right click on the GMA 3100 and select Disable (DO NOT SELECT Uninstall). Your display may look strange until the card is installed, don't be alarmed, this is normal. Power down, install the card and connect the monitor to it, power up, and install the drivers. Should work fine now.

Edit

According to nvidia, a 300W or greater power supply is needed for the GT 430, the 430W psu is more than adequate for that card. (see Specifications tab)

Geforce 8800 gts 640mb replacement, GT430 or 450?

I don't want to spend a fortune but want to keep the same level standard of graphics.

if replacing with either 430 or 450, would my current PSU for 8800 gts sufficient?

PSU from what i remember is 600W-800W

also my motherboard's PCIe x16 is not 2.0

thank you in advance|||GT450 is outdated, get a Radeon 6770 instead

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis…

The 6770 is better than the GTS 450 and costs just the same.

Power consumption is also better due to the smaller fabrication used.

You only need 450 watts for the 6770.

Will gta 4 work on gt430?i have intel core 2 duo e4500 @2.20,1 gb ram and gt430?

Yes,It will work but with a damn bad performance,it will not be playable at all..

Known causes:

1.GTA IV is a bad coded game so Decent PCs work hard to control the game..

2.It is one of the top CPU based game and it needs a quad core processor, but you don't have a quad core....

3.your cpu must be a 3 GHz( by overclocking or by default) to play latest game..|||It will play, just not at high settings. Medium should be ok.

What games can the gt430 run??? can it run conviction, assassin creed revelations (new games) on full?

can it run conviction, assassin creed revelations (new games) etc on full

i have a athlon amd 64 x2 5000+ 2.6ghz dual core, with 2 gb ram, and atm have a nvidia se 6150 nforce and planning to buy the gt430

im buying it cuz its cheap and is still averagely decent according to other people...shuld i trust the utube gameplays using the gt430

please help me decide i can afford gtx series but i just want peoples opinons on how well it will run new games.......|||The GT 430 isn't a card for running games on full. It can handle them on medium, high at best (unless you're talking about really low resolutions, like 1280x1024- then it's fine). Youtube videos can be misleading because lots of people make them at 1024x768 or similar resolutions way below what most people typically use nowadays.

For the same price as a GT 430 the Radeon HD 5570 is slightly better, while the 6570 and 5670 are much better. Those are both faster than a GeForce GT 440.

KFA2 GT430 1GB Or XFX Radeon HD5670 1GB?

KFA2 GT430 1GB Or XFX Radeon HD5670 1GB

Which one is best for gaming, im gonna play games like:

battlefield bad company 2

crysis & crysis warhead & crysis 2

farcry 2

Fallout New Vegas

Prototype

Napoleon Total War

Aliens Vs Predator 2010

Medal Of Honor

Modern Warfare 2

Lost Planet Extreme Condition

Borderlands

etc those kinda needy games

My Current Specs:

8500GT 512MB GPU

i3 540 3,07GHz 2 CPUs Proccessor

4GB A-Data 1600MHz Gaming Series RAM

Asus P7H55 MotherBoard

1440x900 Monitor 60Hz

Which one GT430 1GB OR XFX HD5670 1GB'

which ones best for those kinda games?

Thanks!|||Radeon HD 5670 is over twice faster than the Geforce GT 430.GT 430 is not a good gaming card.it is mostly designed for HTPC.it is even slower than similarly priced Radeon HD 5570.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gefo…

Radeon HD 5670 can easily handle all those games on 1440x900 resolution and high settings easily.I recommand going with 512 MB version of HD 5670.1 GB of memory is only useful to play games on 1920x1080 and higher resolutions provided that your card is fast enough to handle it.upto 1680x1050 and lower, both 512 MB and 1 GB models will give similar performance.Radeon HD 5670 is good enough for 1680x1050 and lower resolutions so 512 MB of memory is more than enough for it.it is a trick of seller to make the product more appealing by adding 1 GB of memory which never will be used.

Rest of your system is pretty good.i3 is a nice gaming processor and 4 GB of ram is more than enough to play those games.HD 5670 is your best option.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…|||I would suggest to buy XFX ATI Radeon HD 5670 1 GB DDR5 DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card

Video Card, Installation CD with Multi-Language User Guide

Nvidia Gt430 1GB!!!!!!?

Is the nvidia geforce gt430 1gb run all new recent games on full?? apparently it can run bf3 and high spec required games on full????|||You're joking right. The GT 430 is just above Integrated in most respects. It's not a fast card at all. It doesn't even really meet the minimum specs for BF3. It won't run any game made in the last 3 years on full.|||Who the hell said the GT 430 would run BF3 on high? That's absolute load of CRAP. It might hit medium. It's a low end card. It's also a lousy deal for the money when a Radeon 5570 outruns it for less money.

How slow is GT 430 1GB DDR3 (64bit) compared to GT430 1GB DDR3 (128 bit)?

I recently got an MSI N430GT MD1GD3 which has a 64 bit memory bus as compared to other models which have a 128 bit memory bus. I want to know does the 64 bit bus makes my graphics card's speed go down to right to half of that of the 128 bit model?

If not then can somebody provide a comparision?|||It actually means that your graphics card will only be limited sooner in terms of data transfer to the VRAM. 64-bit is really, really slow, and you will definitely notice it when compared to 128-bit cards. The place where you will most notice the smaller bus width is with post-processing of video, like anti-aliasing and vertical syncronisation. Yes, you have 1GB of GDDR3, but a 768MB GDDR3 card with a 128-bit bus will give better performance than it. If at all possible, have the card exchanged for a 128-bit card, you won't be disappointed. 1GB of GDDR3 VRAM on a newish GPU like the 430 has is a waste, it will never be used like it can.

EDIT: Uhm, Jack, most new card have a 256-bit bus. 512-bit is massive, and only reserved for the extreme cards on the market. Budget cards often have a 192-bit bus, which isn't bad either... :)|||half the memory bandwidth and considering most new cards have a 512 bit bandwidth this is incredibly slow i wouldnt go with anything less than 128 bit|||you won't notice the difference.

What video card is better overall, nVidia Geforce gt430 or ATI Radeon hd 3780?

In terms of gaming, HTPC, HD video editing and watching etc...

Answers would be appreciated..|||I would go for the "Geforce gt430" because Geforce is always better than ATI.|||The GT-430 is an excellent choice for a HTPC, it is quiet, doesn't require much power and is cheap for the performance it can deliver. Yes, there are other cards out there that will outperform it, but if you have the requirement of a low-profile card (which is very possible for an HTPC) then the GT-430 is for you.|||nVidia Geforce gt430|||the 430.

Foxconn 45GM/CM with a nvidia Geforce GT430/9800GT video card?

Are the nVidia Geforce GT430/9800 GT video cards compatible with my Foxconn 45GM/CM motherboard?

Thanks!|||Video cards do not plug into the Motherboard, you should know where a GPU goes if you plan on to installing it, on topic though, if you have pci(e) slots free it should work, you should also make sure your PSU can handle it.

Is GigaByte GeForce GT430 2GB DDR3/128-bit, PCIe, CRT DuaI enough for batelfield 3?

I have AMD Dual-Core E-350 4GB RAM and GigaByte GeForce GT430 2GB DDR3/128-bit, PCIe, CRT/Dual-link DVI-I/HDMI/HDCP, Smart Fan is this computer can habdle batelfield on ultra settings|||Not even close. The processor in that thing (laptop?) is pretty low end. Scroll down this list....

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.p…

For ultra settings you would need a quad core cpu and a MUCH better video card. Here is yours, scroll down....http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_…

You need one that is in the 2000 or higher range on this benchmark test.

You can compare settings here...http://www.geforce.com/GamesandApps/game…

And you can test your components against the requirements here....http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyr…

http://www.geforce.com/GamesandApps/game…|||The guy above me talks about laptops and that card... and he's right. There are laptop GPU's that are faster than a GT 430. The 2gb of V-RAM will not help you out WHATSOEVER. You wasting money on the extra V-RAM

The GT 430 would be playable at a low resolution at very low settings.

I would recommend getting at least a Radeon 6670. Also, you need to look at the power supply. You might only have a 250w power supply and that's not enough to run any card other than a Radeon 6450. The Radeon 6770 or the Nvidia GTX 550ti is the ideal card for Battlefield 3.

BF3 will use 3gb of system RAM. You will need to upgrade the RAM as well.

BF3 does more use of a quad-core processor. If at all possible, I would look at upgrading to a Phenom II X4 960T.|||Your graphics card is not intended for modern gaming. You can play Battlefield 3 on low settings only. If you want to run Battlefield 3 on high settings, you will need to purchase an AMD Radeon HD 6950 or a NVIDIA GeForce 560 Ti at least. For ultra settings, you will need an even better graphics card.

Why does my computerkeep shutting down?

i can play the net fb,any other thing on net,yet when i go to play games my comshuts down,no warning just goes off,i have new graphics card GT430 ,PCI EXPRESS 2.0HAVE CLEANED INSIDE ,BUT STILL NO LUCK ,ANY IDES PLEASE.|||Power Supply issue seems likely. You may want to go to a local electronics store and buy a new one. The Nvidia Fermi cards are known to use more power than average cards, so consider getting a higher wattage than your current power supply.

Will this video card work with my motherboard?

http://www.emag.ro/placi_video/placa-video-daytona-nvidia-geforce-gt430-1024mb-gddr3-128bit-hdmi-dvi-pci-e--pNEAT4300FHD01 , my motherboard is an ASUS M2N68, will it work? I mean, will it work better than my ATI Radeon 3650 HD?|||To put it bluntly, yes, it should work better than the Radeon HD 3650. The clock speed on the GeForce GT430 is much higher than that of the HD 3650, and it has a newer architecture (Fermi).

I found the card you are looking at here if you want detailed specifications on it.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814261103

What video card is better (assuming you have atleast 4gbDDR3)... the nVidia GT430 or the nVidia GT440?

Specifically for running high spec games like GTAIV or any Call of Duty.|||The 440 is a better card. It will play most games with a good frame rate on med to high setting.

You can GTS 450's and GTS 550 for about 20.00 more..|||Trick question. None of the above. For the same price as a GT440, you can get a Radeon 6570 that'll stomp both.

Of course, none of them are very good gaming cards. You'll need to spend a minimum of $100 or so bucks to get something that's good for games, ie, Radeon 5770/6770 or GTX 550 Ti or better.

You're not getting it. The GT440 and 430 are both overpriced for what you get. If you're on a very tight budget, the Radeon 6570 is a superior card. End of story. If you have more flexibility in your budget, then you DEFINITELY should drop more money into a better video card.|||gt440|||440|||I'll let the benchmarks speak for themselves: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/…

Both are garbage cards that aren't meant for gaming. And you're wanting to run something demanding like GTA IV? Running high-end games on low-end cards doesn't work out. Consider going with the HD 6870, or GTX 560.

This pc good? AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz, Nvidia gt430, 4GB RAM?

Could i run current games out like Homefront, black ops, etc.|||If it's a laptop, you won't be able to run many games very well.

I would recommend buying an Alien Ware gaming computer/laptop if you don't mind spending a few extra bucks. If you're mainly going to be playing games on it, that is what you want. They have pre-made PCs as well as customizable ones.|||Short answer:Not really the cpu is fine but that Video card is just not up to pare you maybe able to start the game and play some SP but MP would be horrible..

More.. into it

I have a similar cpu the low end 435 @2.9GHz I over clock it to 3.3GHZ no problem with the AMD OVERDRIVE,

But ya that Video card is point less if you want to enjoy your game at all. Hint if the video card is low profile its not made for gaming e.i less cooling smaller parts... so on

Are you building this on your own or is this a pre made?

if your building this we can help you price out a better card for the same price,

Well i can play Black ops on this setup

Athlon 435 OC 3.3GHz

6GB Gskill 800MHz (don`t need more then 3-4 most ppl)

Geforce 250 2GB

Ya that would be better,

Which one is better for gaming? ATI HD 5670 or NVIDIA GT430?

Hi ima buy a pc but i dont know which graphics card is beta. Please say which one and explain why|||Actually these two cards have neck-neck competetion.

But Ati Radeon Graphic card perform well with AMD Processors and Nvidia Graphic card perform well with Intel Processors.

So if you are going with Intel, then buy a GT430.

If you are going with an AMD Processor then buy the Ati Radeon HD 5670.

Hope this helps.|||NVIDIA GT430 is better. Because NVIDIA is always better than ATI.|||yeah the NVIDIA

Will gta 4 work on gt430?i have intel core 2 duo e4500 @2.20 rated at 3.85,1 gb ram and gt430?

Of course it can run the game but at very low fps, even at the lowest settings, if you want to play GTA 4, then get a HD 5770, or even better, 6850, or 6870.

What power supply would i need for my computer?

It has: AMD Phenom X4 965 3.4GHz 8mb Cache

8GB Ram

1Gb Nvidia GT430

1TB Hard drive

Aftermarket Heat pipe cooler

4Fans built in to the case.

Will i need 600W Supply or 450W Supply?|||600watt ATX PSU is enough|||Get a 600 watt power supply with at least 35amps on the +12v. If it has more than one +12v rail, just add the two together on amperage to get the results. Do not ever overlook the amps, that is one of the most important parts of a power supply. Also another item to check on the power supply is make sure it has over voltage protection. Reason being, if a power supply does not have that, when it goes out, it will send massive harmful voltages to every component in your system taking it out when it goes.|||Go with the 600watt power supply but not a cheap generic no name brand! Stick to a cool master, OCZ, Thermal take etc. Cheap ones are poor build quality, and low amperage on 12Volt rails. The power supply is the motor to the tower..|||either

Which is better for Gaming? Nvidia Geforce GT430 or the GT520?

Both 1GB models and i was wondering which would be better for gaming on the likes of Battlefield BC2, Fallout 3 and Crysis?|||The guy above me is right. The GT 430 is better.

If you want a decent card, then look at a GTS 450. it's a much more capable card.

If a 300w power supply is your limit, I woulkd look at a Radeon 6670 or 5670. Nvidia just doesn't have a lot of good budget cards.|||gt 430 is better. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gami…

What is better NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE graphics or GT430 for gaming?

i have GT 430 on my desktop, i would say: no, this is not a graphic card you would want to invest on if you are a gamer. pay $50-$80 more and get a high quality DDR5 graphic card.|||The GT 430 by a longshot. The 6150 is a weak card, and is integrated.

Is the GT 430 your only option? It's not really great if you want a good card for gaming. Consider the GTX series by NVIDIA. (e.g. GTX 560, GTX 550ti, GTX 460, GTS 450)

How hot should I let my GT430 get?

I have a Galaxy GeForce GT430 graphics card and Iv'e OC'ed at 900mhz for my core clock. I run crysis at very high settings and the temp is stable at about 62 C. Is this to high of heat for my GPU? I have a 120 fan at 90%.|||It is a perfectly fine temperature for your gpu. I wouldn't go over 80c though, then thats a little risky. Its perfectly stable, and you could maybe lower the fan speed and reduce the noise that fan is giving off.

Can I use an external Nvidia card on my ATI powered laptop?

I read about using an ExpressCard slot to plug in an external graphics card. I have my old GT430 from my desktop going unused and want to know if I can use it on my laptop with Radeon HD 6570M built in. Will this cause conflicts?

Thanks in advance.|||I think it should work. See link below|||The drivers might conflict; just make sure you uninstall the ATI/AMD drivers then install the correct nVidia ones after.

I should also add that your 6570M actually gives higher performance than your GT 430. It'd be best to stick with the laptop's GPU.

How Much Is It Going To Cost To SLI My Graphics Cards?

I already have a 9800GT and I'm planning to get a GT430 they both are capable of SLI but how much will it cost to SLI them?|||Yeah, The only way you can run SLI is to buy another 9800GT.

Nvidia doesn't offer SLI for a low end card like the GT 430.

Yes... The GPU chip has to be the same.

The 9800GT was considered to be a good card 3 years ago. Now, it's performance level can be found in a sub $100 card. Adding a second card for SLI would give you a 20%-50% performance boost. That wouldn't be enough to run the new games at the highest settings.

A new card like the Radeon 6850, 6870 or GTX 560 would destroy a single 9800GT and it would beat 2 of them in SLI.|||You would have to get another 9800 GT for SLI. Also, you will need an SLI bridge. Also, you would need 500w power supply to be sure you have enough power.

The GT 430 is NOT SLI capable. Also, you have to get a card with the same GPU processor and same amount of RAM.

You would be much better off looking for a used GTX 275, 280 on craigslist..

EVGA does sell remanufactured video cards on their website.

There are some instances where you can run 2 cards in SLI that don't have the same name. You can run a 9800 GTX+ in SLI with a GTS 250 and you can run a 192core GTX 260 in SLI with a 216 core GTX 260. The cards will need the same amount of RAM.|||Unfortunately, you cannot run both those cards in SLI. They have to be the same GPU to work in Scalable Link Interface (SLI) configuration.

Is nvidia geforce GT430 Graphics card a recommended card?

yes or no? (with PRO details pls).|||It is basically just a fast BUDGET card. It is more for the casual gamer.

http://www.techreport.com/discussions.x/…

If you want serious gaming, consider at least the GTS 450.

http://www.techreport.com/articles.x/196…

Best overclock settings for Gt430 Gigabyte?

I have gt 430 factory overclocked at 730 mhz what's the best settings to overclock without destroying my card

Can you help?|||Download MSI Afterburner

It's a software based GPU overclocking program made by MSI. The program monitors your temp, fan speed, and FPS among other things.

The overclock is extremely simple.

I would say 900MHZ with the fan around 50% would do it. After that I would run games that you normally play for 1-2hours to see how stable it really is. You could even choose to run furmark or even 3dmark to test the stability of your overclock.

Can A NVIDIA GeForce GT430 play Cod 5? If so what Resolution?

The pc specs are

CPU AMD AthlonII x2 255 3.1GHz 2MB AM3 65W 24mn

Motherboard Nvidia OR AMD chipset all in one motherboard

RAM 2GB DDR3 RAM

Graphic Card NVIDIA GeForce GT430 1GB

Audio Onboard 5.1 Channel HD Audio

LAN Onboard 10/100MB LAN

Hard Drive 500GB SATAIII HDD

Optical Drive 24X DVD Writer

Power Supply 400W PSU|||That's a fairly weak video card, it could probably play CoD 5 smoothly at 1440x900 or lower.

Here are the results for CoD 4:MW2. The GT430 is fine at 1280x1024 but starts to struggle at 1680x1050 (only 35 fps).

I recommend Radeon HD 5670 for your budget and power Supply.it is much faster than GT 240 DDR3 and DDR5 models and smokes the GT 430.

Is the Nvidia GeForce GT430 good for gaming?

I'm not a hardcore gamer and so don't need to have the settings on high. I'm fine with them on low.

Specifications:

6GB RAM

Intel i5 2300 2.8GHz|||Not at all, it's an entry level card that will struggle with most if not all games even at low. Go for a gts 450 for light gaming at the minimum.|||look at the recomend specs on the games you want to play and increase it by 35%

this will allow you to have a longer replacement life.|||No, Go for a gts 450 for light gaming at the minimum.

When you consider the pixel rate, i would say the gt240 1GB would perform a little better in games than a gt430 2GB, unless you are running in a pretty low resolution.

As for the 1GB vs 2GB argument, it hardly makes a difference when you consider how weak these cards are. No game requires more than 1GB for its textures, and the 2GB just helps with if your playing games on a very high resoltuion, which the 430GT sucks at doing.|||The GT 240 is actually quite a bit faster than the GT 430. In terms of raw processing power (GFlops) the GT 240 is about 25%-30% faster.

With that said the GT 240 is mostly just a renamed 9600GT. It's an obsolete card. Neither of the these are cards are powerful enough to run modern games effectively.|||GT430 benchmarks much higher than the 240.|||the ddr gt430 2gb why because 1 gb vs 2 gb the ddr dosnt have anything to do with it thats just the model of memmory|||DDR 3 is Just the model

Which is the better graphic card for gaming, 1gb Nvidia gt240 ddr2 or 2gb gt430 ddr3?

In the nvidia website GT240 has higher graphics and compute performance but 430 supports directx 11.

and gt240 is only ddr2 and 1gb unlike Gt430 it is ddr3 and 2gb.

(MY source http://www.nvidia.com/object/graphics_cards_buy_now.html)|||They're both outdated but the gt 430 has more memory and the memory is faster. DX11 is a must have for today's demanding games, but both cards are pretty much outdated.

How would a GT430 do as a PhysX card with two GTX460's in SLi?

As the title says guys, how will it handle? Will it be a worthing investment for my system? As the title says I have 2 GTX460's, and would like to have a dedicated PhysX card.|||see dude as u have 2 gtx 460 card there's no need for a physx card

ur is already overkill can even beat gtx 580

i think if u really want it just buy a second hand 8800gt

its a very good physx unit

How to upgrade graphics card?

I have a gt430 nvidia|||Pull it out, buy a new one that your computer can support (check the slot type and your power supply watt rating), stick the new one in, and install the drivers (from the cd that came with it, usually).|||Well you should decide what card you'd like to go with. This will take research on your part. I suggest using newegg.com because they have a ton of reviews on their site. Once you've chosen one you need to determine if it will fit in your case as some of these graphics cards can be rather large. You also need to make sure that your power supply can handle what you're throwing at it. Once you've gotten it though it's a matter of opening your case, and replacing the current one with the new one. This is a fairly simple process. Once complete, boot back up and use the disc that came with the new card and install the drivers for it.|||How to upgrade? Buy a new one. Do some research and compare prices. I have the GT 430 and it's a decent card especially for the price.

Keep the driver up to date for best performance.

I installed directx 11 yet when I run dxdiag it says I'm still using directx 9?

I recently bought an EVGA GeForce GT430 graphics card. I installed everything and it works fine, but when I install dx11 it says I'm still using dx9.|||What version of windows are you using?

Windows XP doesn't support Direct X 10 nor 11 even if you use a DX11 graphics card

Sorry! D:|||I'm of opinion that your EVGA GeForce GT430 graphics card or your operating system does not support directx 11. Use Windows Vista or Windows 7 and for graphics card consult your vender. Best of luck...|||No DirectX 11 for XP.

Does a gddr5 video card work in a gddr3 mobo?

My cpu is a HP p6703w if that helps. The regular memory is gddr3 so im assuming the pci-e x16 slot is to? Not sure. So far the best gddr3 vdeocard i can find is a geforce gt430 so im hoping to get better if possible.|||There isn't such thing as a gddr3 motherboard. You're thinking of your ram ddr3.

But yes, it will work since you have a PCI Express x16 slot.

VERY IMPORTANT TIP:

Definitely get a GDDR5 card and make sure it has a 256-bit memory bus width. It's 50% faster than GDDR5 cards with 128-bit memory bus width.

GTX 460 is a great card that's less than $150.|||No such thing as a GDDR3 mobo. At any rate your computer uses DDR3 RAM. But anyway the type of video RAM on a video card has no bearing on the kind of RAM the computer uses. They don't have to be the same. A video card with GDDR5 will work in a computer that uses DDR2 as system RAM for example|||Yes. The memory on a video card and the memory that runs your computer have nothing to do with each other.

Will a 300W psu be able to run Geforce gt430 2gb version ?

im buying inno3d gt 430 2gb and will be gaming with it so will a 300w psu be eough for it ....nvidia also satets its minimum requirmnt to be 300W ?????/ plz tell me..;|

my specs..

core 2 duo 2.8 Ghz

3gb ddr2 ram

320 gb internal drive

500 gb external drive (adapter powered)

300 w psu

going to put a gt 430 2gb

...|||No, upgrade the PSU. Today's GPU's are very demanding.|||Yes I know what it SAYS...300W is what the card requires...HOWEVER...the stock PSU that comes with the machine is NOT 80% certified NOR do they supply the very necessary 22A on the 12V rail (the stock PSU can just barley get out 15A if that much) you need to look for a PSU that can deliver at least 22A on the 12V rail. ALL the 300W PSU I've come across cant hit 22A by a long shot! You don't get into that amperage range till you have the 430-450W PSU's|||it will work fine minimum requirements are well above its true requirements to avoid lawsuits|||Your PSU is a stock one no? As in it came with the desktop you purchased? If so please change it to at least 400W with a well known brand unless you want the stock 300W to explode and take along all your other componenets in the process. I had to change my PSU when I upgraded my graphics card, I had a 300W also. Best be safe than sorry!|||Get 1GB version instead. 2GB GT 430 is not any faster, it only costs more.

Gt440 GDDR5,Gt430 DDR3, Gt240 DDR3 OR GDDR5 good?

6670 , 5670 , 6570 , GT 440 > the rest.

GPU buyers guide

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDEVxeY_n…|||The GT440 is the best card out of the three you listed, but if you intend to use them for gaming, prepare to be dissapointed by its low performance.|||You lazy idiot

First off you can find this info online and 2nd the GT440 has a higher number so that should automatically tell you it's a better card

I got GPU Nvidia GT430 1gb ddr 3?

I installed the card so I can play crysis and now the game doesn't recognize the card?|||You need a high end video card to run crysis. Never heard of a 430 before, I don't recognize it either. What you need is something like the new KING of video cards, the just newly released dual gpu card the AMD 6990 with 4 GB of memory. Me I use Sapphire 6970 and play any game out now maxed ! Nvidia are they still around, good for them. See Sapphire or AMD for new 6990, etc..|||Have you installed the driver ?

Graphic card requirement for CRYSIS:

Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT or greater; ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or greater.

HALLO? I just bought ASUS GT430 1GB DDR3 and it has full DX11 support,My question is which OS to chose XP or 7?

1gb ram is the minimum requirement for Windows 7. This option will have slower performance. If you can get another gig of ram then you should be golden.

Windows XP support has ended from MS.|||Depends on what you are doing. Win7 is superior when it comes to security, XP would be good if playing older PC games and software.|||I've use every operating system from Microsoft since 3.1 and I can say for sure that Win7 is the best platform that has ever come out of the Redmond Washington campus. It's fast and feature rich. And it extremely stable. Yeah, it looks different, and some of the background screens have changed. But once your comfortable with it, you'll never look back.

I'm a computer tech, and I do keep XP loaded on one of my machines, but it's just there so that I can look up stuff to answer questions on this forum.

Is the NVIDIA GT430 capable of something like Battlefield 3 on low graphics? (read description)?

I am buying a pc and I was wondering about the graphics card to get with it. I don't care about FPS too much (30+ is always good but I'm happy with 20) and I just want to be able to run the game to play with my friends so I don't care about graphics quality at all.|||Stream Processors 96

DDR3 128bit.

you are below the 8800GT it ask's for which is 256 bit 112 Stream processors

http://bf3blog.com/battlefield-3-system-…|||It'll manage at low settings, but not by much. Why the GT 430? For about the same price you could get a Radeon 5570 that's decidedly faster, or for a few more, a 5670. Nvidia is a rotten choice below the $100 price point. They just don't have anything that can compete with AMD as far as bang for your buck.|||for campaign it will run fine as far as multiplayer it gonna lag bad.|||If graphics don't matter to you then any card will do. But realistically, if you want it to just run, then you're going to need a graphics card that at least meets the minimum standard so your computer doesn't freeze up due to all the activity.|||what your resolution ?! if 1080 that will be running lowest settings

if lower .. that should be fine i gess

Nvidia Gt430 2gb ddr3?

Is Nvidia Gt430 2gb ddr3 a good video card? Can I play call of duty modern warfare 2 in full graphics with this?|||Depends on the resolution. If you are playing at 1920x1080 and above its iffy.

Should be a pretty decent card though. If you can't max the settings they will still be pretty high.|||Yes you can, but i don't think you can put the Anti analiasing more that x2 !|||yes but you need 3 gb Ram also ..

Nvidia Geforce GT430 for Gaming?

As the title Implies is the GT430 any good for gaming? I dont want to max out games i just want to get by on medium to high setting with good framerates on games like Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Civ 5 and Fallout 3. Thanks for answering!|||Nvidia GT430 is good enough to get decent fps on the games mentioned above.

It's ATI equivalent is ATI Radeon HD 5670.

BTW It can't handle these games at 1080p High settings.|||how much this card coast ?

|||Actually the GT430 NOT equivalent to the Radeon HD 5670. It's slightly below the lower-end Radeon HD 5570. The GeForce GT440 is closer to the Radeon HD 5670 and is a better choice for gaming.

Asus - GeForce GT430 1GB DDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card?

would a Asus - GeForce GT430 1GB DDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card be good for counter strike:source?|||Yeah but don't push it too hard. You will be on medium graphics for older and less demanding games, and low or minimum settings for newer and more demanding games.

NVIDIA Geforce GT430 Good for Gaming?

SPECS of Computer

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Processor (6xTurbo Core, 9MB Cache, 2.8GHz)

Good for playing games like

Cod4, Waw, Minecraft ect

not in full settings but goodish settings?|||Yes that computer will be more than able to play all the games you listed on max settings

That's a pretty good mid to high range gaming computer, you can do a lot more than just cod4 and WaW.

Your processor is great, and you have alot of RAM.

If you feel like you're not getting enough performance, get a second 430 for SLi.|||WAO!! thats all i can say,, xDD are you bragging?? ahahaha,, im joking.. you can do more than that..

MY PC CAN'T EVEN MEET HALF OF YOURS... but i can play Assasin's Creed 2 and command and conquer 3.. my cpu is just an AMD athlon II 64x dual core 2.1ghz,, 3gb ram DDR2.. 512mb nvidia geforce8400,, forgot my motherboard but its emaxx(from nvidia).. and 120gb IDE hard drive(in the 1990's) ahahaha..|||Good machine! but the 430 is a bit low for those games. You really need to be in the GTX seres. To play those games well, you should look at the GTX 460 or HD 6850|||Cut the Ram down to 4GB and use that money to get at least a 460 1GB. Or go for the 560 ti, that'll keep you good for a long while.
