Can I use an external Nvidia card on my ATI powered laptop?

I read about using an ExpressCard slot to plug in an external graphics card. I have my old GT430 from my desktop going unused and want to know if I can use it on my laptop with Radeon HD 6570M built in. Will this cause conflicts?

I should also add that your 6570M actually gives higher performance than your GT 430. It'd be best to stick with the laptop's GPU.
